⚙️ MECHANICAL SYSTEMS & INFRASTRUCTURE
🧰 What utility and mechanical systems are required for a mobile or modular home?
To operate a mobile or modular home, the following utility connections are typically required:
-
Water
-
Sewage
-
Electricity
-
(Optional) Gas
-
Renewable energy systems, depending on buyer preference
For new buildings, Hungarian energy regulations define a mandatory minimum share of renewable energy use.
The method of compliance can be chosen by the buyer, and we offer professional recommendations.
🛠️ For basic residential or holiday use (e.g. for 2 people), a heating-cooling air conditioner and an instant water heater are usually sufficient.
🔌 How are utilities connected during installation?
Mobile homes are delivered with pre-installed pipe and cable outlets.
After crane placement, these are:
-
connected to the utilities integrated into the foundation
-
sealed and tested through multi-step commissioning (e.g. pressure and electrical testing)
🚱 What if there is no water or sewage connection on-site?
In such cases, we recommend alternative water and wastewater systems:
-
Drilled well + pump + filtration system (e.g. activated carbon, UV)
-
Biological wastewater treatment or closed septic tank
-
Rainwater harvesting system for irrigation or non-potable use
💡 Note: Drinking water quality must be tested by an independent laboratory to confirm it meets health standards.
☀️ Can solar panels or solar collectors be installed on a mobile home?
Yes, mobile and modular homes are suitable for both solar panels (PV) and solar thermal collectors.
Other compatible renewable energy systems include:
-
Heat pumps
-
Pellet boilers
-
Wood-burning stoves
-
Infrared panels
-
Electric floor heating
-
Electric boilers
♻️ What alternative energy supply options are available?
If there is no connection to the national grid, the following off-grid systems may be used:
-
Solar panel system with battery storage
-
Pellet, wood, or multi-fuel boilers
-
Drilled well, wastewater treatment, and rainwater collection systems
These can support fully self-sustaining (off-grid) operation depending on the site conditions.
🔥 What heating options can be built into a mobile home?
A variety of heating solutions are available, including:
-
Infrared heating panels
-
Electric floor heating
-
Electric convector heaters or wall-mounted panels
-
Wood-burning stoves
-
Pellet boilers
-
Gas boilers
-
Heat pump systems
🏡 Is it possible to build a self-sufficient (off-grid) mobile home?
Yes. A mobile or modular home can be self-sufficient if it has:
-
Proper thermal insulation
-
Efficient mechanical and utility systems
-
Integrated renewable energy sources
🔋 Energy classification:
Our buildings are designed to meet the BB energy rating by default (in line with the 2023 ÉKM regulation).
Upon request, we can deliver homes with AA or even AA+ rating, and we also support the integration of smart home systems.
